I dag betjener floden ikke l\u00e6ngere kommercielle ruter, men regionens interessante og dejlige landskaber og rige historie og arv er en godbid for de bes\u00f8gende.<\/p>\n

Vores tur starter i M\u00e9rtola, kendt som "museumsbyen", engang hovedstaden i det dav\u00e6rende magiske mauriske imperium, og hvor historien er indgraveret i charmerende lag.<\/p>\n

Herfra g\u00e5r vi til Pomar\u00e3o og Mina de S\u00e3o Domingos, hvor Guadiana<\/a> drejer ind mod nordvest. Det blev en travl havn i det 19. \u00e5rhundrede som et resultat af, at et britisk firma bosatte en mine 15 km mod nord.
