Deze tour van een week biedt drie van de mooiste en meest afgelegen rivieren van Noord-Portugal - de Tamega, de Paiva en de Vouga.<\/p>\n

Ze stromen door wilde en verborgen landschappen en extreem oude gebieden, zowel in historisch als geologisch opzicht. De gebieden zijn moeilijk toegankelijk en hierdoor is de grote diversiteit van de lokale fauna en flora bewaard gebleven.<\/p>\n

Onze tour brengt ons in nauwer contact met de verborgen geheimen van de rivieren, en de natuurlijke en historisch-culturele omgeving.<\/p>\n

De rivier de Vouga kronkelt naar Sernada do Vouga, omgeven door bossen<\/p><\/div>\n

We gebruiken oude paden, historische spoorlijnen en nieuwere innovaties zoals de opmerkelijke Passadi\u00e7os do Paiva die toegang geven tot voorheen onontgonnen gebieden.<\/p>\n

Onze twee centra, aan weerszijden van de tocht, verankeren de rivieren en zijn er nauw mee verbonden.<\/p>\n

Ons eerste centrum, Amarante, ook wel bekend als de prinses van de Tamega, is een prachtige stad met een geweldige combinatie van traditie, geschiedenis en natuur.<\/p>\n

De rivier T\u00e2mega stroomt door deze stad die een magisch sprookjesachtig gevoel heeft, met elegante torentjes en bomen die in de rivier hangen.<\/p>\n

Vanuit Amarante reizen we naar ons tweede centrum, Aveiro. Maar onderweg stoppen we en wandelen we de buitengewone Passadi\u00e7os do Paiva.<\/p>\n

De Passadi\u00e7os bevinden zich in het midden van een geclassificeerd gebied door de European and Global Geoparks Networks, onder auspici\u00ebn van UNESCO, een afgelegen en wild gebied van ruige schoonheid dat wordt doorsneden door de snelstromende, "frisky" rivier Paiva van het koele, heldere water .<\/p>\n

Uiteindelijk komen we uiteindelijk bij de Ria van Aveiro waar de rivier de Vouga de oceaan ontmoet in de brede monding die al eeuwenlang wordt gebruikt voor visserij, zoutwinning en zeewieroogst met behulp van de kleurrijke "Barcos moliceiros".<\/p>\n
