Het is een beschutte haven waar een massa puntige riffen in de lavarotsen natuurlijke zwembaden bieden.<\/p>\n<p>Afgelegenheid is de enige reden waarom het gebied weinig bezoekers ziet.<\/p>\n<p>De wandeling voert ons over steile terrasvormige hellingen, vaak met uitzicht op de kust waar de Atlantische walsen instorten. Verken de weinig bezochte dorpjes in het uiterste noordwesten van Madeira.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Op weg naar ons volgende centrum, Ponta do Sol, aan de zuidkust, lopen we langs de Levada de Lombo de Mouro, een aantrekkelijke en weinig bewandelde Levada die hoog in de buurt van de centrale pas van het eiland bij Encumeada begint.<\/p>\n<p>Ponta do Sol is een klein dorp, genesteld tussen terrasvormige heuvels waar ons hotel op enkele seconden van de zee ligt.
