All with easy access, meaning a good option for those with limited mobility, the beaches have the usual bars with sunset parties, cafes for meals and refreshments, and sun-lounges and parasols for rent.
As expected, during summer the beaches within walking distance get very busy. But you just have to walk a bit more to find a comfortable spot!

In the vicinities, you have the Roman ruins of a fishing village, with murals and a bathing complex.

A half-an-hour drive takes you to Faro, the capital of Algarve, where you’ll find a small but pretty old town, with storks’ nests on the spiked roofs. From the tower of the cathedral, you get a fantastic view of the city and the Ria Formosa.
About the same time gets you to Loulé, in the mountains, for a completely different perspective of the Algarve. Visit the 13th-century castle and the lively farmers market.
