Life in Vilamoura spins around the upscale marina, lined with elegant yachts, and, of course, the beaches, where you’ll be spoilt with more leisure and relaxation facilities you could ask for!
Nearby there are cultural, historic, and natural attractions to experience.

Filled with chic bars, shops, and restaurants for all tastes, the Vilamoura Marina is the core of the resort’s upbeat social life.
Regarding the beaches, in either direction you turn, there are huge stretches of golden sand with warm waters to choose from, offering plenty of activities, in and out of the water.
All with easy access, meaning a good option for those with limited mobility, the beaches have the usual bars with sunset parties, cafes for meals and refreshments, and sun-lounges and parasols for rent.
As expected, during summer the beaches within walking distance get very busy. But you just have to walk a bit more to find a comfortable spot!
You won’t be disappointed to lay your towel in Quarteira, Vale do Lobo, Falesia, or another lively beach nearby, all awarded with a blue flag.
In the vicinities, you have the Roman ruins of a fishing village, with murals and a bathing complex.

To the north, there’s a protected area of wetlands, ideal for nature activities and birdwatching.
Vilamoura is a well-equipped resort with all sorts of sports activities, from famed golf courses to outdoor tennis courts.
A half-an-hour drive takes you to Faro, the capital of Algarve, where you’ll find a small but pretty old town, with storks’ nests on the spiked roofs. From the tower of the cathedral, you get a fantastic view of the city and the Ria Formosa.
About the same time gets you to Loulé, in the mountains, for a completely different perspective of the Algarve. Visit the 13th-century castle and the lively farmers market.
Whatever the time of the year you chose to visit Vilamoura, you’ll find a pleasant and interesting experience, with world-class beaches, and plenty of fun!

We suggest visiting the foot walk along the coast between Vilamoura and Quarteira.
The short, cozy path along the sunny coast beaches offers a great view.
Parking spaces are available at both starting points of the walk.
Day 3

We suggest visit Vilamoura Marina and Vilamoura’s Beach (Praia da Falésia) and finish at the beach bar to have a drink in front of the ocean with an amazing view.
Day 4

We suggest the Algarve Jeep Safari Full Day Tour, the most beautiful landscapes, regional architecture, and gastronomical tastes of the Algarve.
Gastronomic tasting is part of this tour like typical honey, natural jam or Portuguese liquor known as ‘Medronho’.

Faro Old Town

Visit the emblematic rock formations and sea caves recognized for their unique features.

We suggest Tavira’s Day Tour with a boat tour in the Ria Formosa, Lunch in Tavira Island, and free time in the afternoon to visit the Old Town.

We suggest visit Falesia Beach and walk along the Vilamoura Marina from your Hotel, ideally, in the end, you have a “Chiringuito” to enjoy a cool drink with the best view possible in this natural paradise.
