It’s an ideal place to lounge on the beach during the day, enjoy great food and wine, and later embrace the night!
Book your stay to experience a relaxing holiday time at this lovely beach destination, near a variety of places of interest.

Portimao Marina next to the holiday hotspot of Praia da Rocha
Praia da Rocha is set in the West Algarve, near Portimão. It’s a classic holiday resort with an exceptional beach and a lively atmosphere. Depending on the season, the town attracts different visitors.
During the summer, Praia da Rocha is essentially a family holiday destination, with children being welcome almost everywhere, and a general excitement vibe, great also for young couples.
Outside the height of the tourist season, you’ll find a calmer atmosphere, which is appealing to more mature guests, looking for a relaxing holiday.

Gastronomy in Algarve, The very freshest fish and seafood come from the sea and are the main ingredients in the Algarve cuisine.
All sorts of entertainment are available in Praia da Rocha, with something for everyone, including boat tours, day excursions, water parks, theme parks, and sports on the beach.
There are restaurants and bars for all tastes, and the nightlife is varied and interesting. While the main avenue is filled with buzzing themed bars, terraces, and a casino, near the marina you’ll find a more exclusive and fashionable atmosphere.
And although Praia da Rocha is mainly a summer season resort, build with tourist facilities and attractions, there are heritage and culture nearby!
You can visit charming historic cities in the West Algarve, like Lagos, the town from where the Discoveries started, or Silves, the once Arab capital of the Algarve, in the countryside.

Silves Castle, a red sandstone castle, dominates the town, built by the Moors who held the Al-Gharb (Algarve).
A bit further away, don’t miss the Monchique Mountains, for a calmer, greener landscape.
If you wish to explore the coast, a suggestion is the windswept chapel of Senhora da Rocha, in a promontory overlooking a pretty beach, a 30-minute drive away.
Another highlight is the beautiful Ria de Alvor, on the estuary of the river Arade. You can have a quiet day, away from the fuss, in this rich natural haven!
